The BearingPoint Public Services Team is currently searching for Senior Java/J2EE Developer Location/s: Washington, DC Metro Area Relocation: None Performance Profile: The successful candidate will have strong technical skills focused on Java/J2EE. Position-specific Requirements: US Citizen - Clearable for Security Clearance . 6 to 8+ years experience in software development using a variety of languages: Java, C, C++, SQL, Assembly . 6 to 8+ years experience in End to end implementation of multi-tier applications. . 6 to 8+ years experience in full software lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment) Position-specific Desired Skills: . Understanding of core concepts such as: o Context Free Grammars o Design of Programming Languages o Computer Architectures o Operating System internals o Database design and Optimization . Familiarity with middleware and issues in distributed computing. . Familiarity with installing and configuring a variety of enterprise software technologies such as: o Database Management Systems o Message oriented middleware o Portals o Web Services . Effective communication and client interaction skills. . Ability to lead and mentor small teams of developers. . Ability to advise and provide informed opinions on enterprise technologies. .
