We are currently seeking a Senior Application Developer to join us in our Washington, DC office. KPMG ForensicSM professionals assist organizations in their efforts to achieve the highest level of business integrity through the detection, prevention and investigation of fraud and misconduct. Our Forensic professionals strive to not only help our clients discover the facts underlying concerns about fraud and misconduct, but also assist clients in assessing their vulnerabilities to such activities, and in developing controls and programs to address these risks. Responsibilities: . Research, design, and develop new applications to support forensic tools and methodologies . Application and script development in a Microsoft Windows environment . Desktop and web application development using ASP.NET and Visual Studio 2005 . Development of custom C# applications, console based, Windows Forms, or ASP.NET . Perform analysis, development and evaluation of databases; encompasses database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management . Database design and programming using SQL Server and/or Oracle . Troubleshooting and bug fixes for supported applications and scripts . Manage, maintain, and oversee change control of source code repositories and bug-tracking systems . Interact with clients, internal subject matter experts, and other external sources for the purpose of obtaining relevant information and documents . Assist with complex data analyses . Assist with providing fraud risk management services including design, implementation and evaluation of forensic data analysis methodologies, tools and techniques . Assist in large-scale projects and programs Qualifications: . Five years programming experience, including two or more years of direct experience developing applications using ASP.NET and Visual Studio . Familiarity with source code control systems (SVN, CVS, VSS) . Two or more years of direct experience with any of the following databases: SQL Server and/or Oracle . Excellent written and verbal communication skills . Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize changing work loads . Able to work independently, exercise good judgment, and be resourceful . Team player with a positive and energetic attitude . Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university .
