Helpdesk Call Center Technician Responsibilities The Call Center Monitoring Technician is responsible for monitoring Federal Highway Administration, DOT Infrastructure and performance of end-to-end services from a centralized Call Center (FHWA Call Center) ensuring high availability and attainment of expected service levels. Primary Responsibilities Include: Monitors FHWA Infrastructure to include: FHWA Application Servers and Databases, Field Email and Blackberry servers, Field Network, email and Active Directory Servers. Responsible for system backup and recovery operations. Supports FHWA Application print services. Supports FHWA Help Desk operations. Monitoring network alarm display Field incoming calls to the Core Service Groups Respond to automatically generated alarms produced by FHWA monitoring software by creating Remedy trouble tickets. Follow prescribed trouble and operational procedures and aid in refining them to suit internal and customer needs. Learn and understand operational guidelines and department responsibilities. Perform notifications and follow prescribe escalation procedures. Notify management escalation list within the prescribed timeline of customer and network related outages. Document customer and network trouble tickets as actions are taken. Record, update, and maintain outage notifications and announcements. Send planned and emergency maintenance notification to customers. Distribute maintenance schedules to defined departments and individuals as well as schedule and coordinate maintenance events. Education/Training/Experience: Requires High School Diploma. 2 years of IT related experiences is required Familiarity with Network operations procedures or Call center monitoring. Skills/Knowledge Strong verbal and written communication skills required Mature professional attitude Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills Working Conditions: • works in a normal office environment • As this is a 24x365 operation, Associate must be able to work 3rd shift on evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by workload and scheduling.
