Java/J2EE Developer - Washington, DC (US Citizens Only)

Category: Information Technology Locations: Washington, DC Posted: Mar 03, 08 Type: Full-time E-mail to a friend Job Description: Candidate will be responsible for the analysis of business, engineering, and scientific problems, and the documentation and development of well-defined methods, procedures, and programs in the delivery of practical systems solutions. Should have experience with hands-on Java development. This includes detailed software design, developing code to implement the design, debug, and unit test, and integrating the applications. This position is a backend position where code will be written to interface with databases and middleware components. Requirements: Preferred candidates will possess all of the skills listed below: • Websphere Application Server – 3 - 5 years experience (Must Have) • MQ-Series and JAVA – 3 - 5 years experience (Must Have) • Database programming using SQL and JDBC with DB2 or Oracle • Design and development experience using Rational tools (WSAD, RAD) or Eclipse. • Experience with OOAD and UML to develop and document design artifacts. • Able to translate high-level system requirements into detailed requirements and to formulate a design that satisfies those requirements. • Able to communicate clearly end effectively both orally and in writing • Special Training Desired: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience. Additional Information: ***Because this work would be with our Federal Government Client, US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance is required***
