Description: Entry Level JAVA Developer Washington, DC

Project Description: PSS is part of a team of companies that is supporting the Command and Control Section of the Electronic Warfare Modeling and Simulation Branch and Tactical Electronic Warfare Division of the Naval Research Laboratory. Currently, the team is supporting a suite of scenario based training tools that that is embedded within the Global Command and Control System (GCCS). The JAVA based suite of tools provides a wealth of support to the GCCS. Job Description: PSS is currently seeking several recent college grads that are looking for an opportunity to join a JAVA development team. Candidates will work with and learn from talented JAVA developers that develop software applications, simulations, training systems and after-action review tools for the Global Command and Control System (GCCS) and the next generation Joint Command and Control environment, the Net Enabled Command Capability (NECC). Candidates will be involved in all aspects of the product lifecycle from requirements gathering and analysis to development and testing to packaging, on-site installation, training and support. Required Skills: . BS Degree in Computer Science Programming tasks: . Coursework in Java and/or C/C++ software development & testing . Ability to learn, understand, maintain and modify existing source code . Ability to learn, understand system architecture, GUI design & implementation . Basic understanding of relational databases & SQL . Willingness to learn about web services, SOAP & WSDL & XML Project tasks: . Requirements gathering, definition and analysis .
