ADP2 / IT2 Currently possess security clearance? None Location Washington, DC % Travel 0 Relocation No Requirements THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION! The Health Solutions business unit currently has an opening for a Computer Operator located at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a 24 X 7 X 365 Help Desk center. Candidate will be required to backfill for other shift positions. This may require temporarily working at Bethesda National Naval Medical Center. This is considered an Essential Personnel position. Experience with Composite Health Care System (CHCS) and AHLTA are desirable. Under direct supervision, operates and maintains computers and computer-related equipment; monitors system consoles; and performs operator preventive maintenance on peripheral equipment. Handles simple troubleshooting and starts/updates/completes log entries concerning machine utilization, job reruns, and production work completed. Monitors multiple systems and their interfaces within CHCS and AHLTA. Unlock accounts. The ability to listen, isolate the issue, research, resolve (or escalate), and follow-up is essential for this position. Customer Service experience in the related field. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with the customer base and management is essential. Candidate should be flexible and understanding of the military community - this would be an added PLUS. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. The position requires a security clearance and in accordance to obtain it, the candidate must be US Citizen. REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years of experience, or Bachelors Degree and 1 year experience. DESIRE SKILLS: Open VMS operating systems and Windows are highly desirable. Leadership ability is desirable.
