given that apple outsources most (all?) of their manufacturing, this
is largely irrelevant (the main part of the operation that would need
to be scaled up would be support. engineering would stay the same,
manufacturing can be ramped up and down as needed).

no, the best way to grow is as fast as you can *manage*- apple surely
doesn't want to grow 'slowly'.
