The person or persons that are flooding both alt.sci.physics and
sci.chem (and probably at least sci.crypt also), are doing so
without permission. They don't seem to care about whatever civil
discourse might otherwise be going on. And apparently they are
injecting their "sporge" (a new word that was made up for this
behavior) someplace that is just barely detectable in the message
header. The header is munged, so that classical "anti-crap"
filters do not work.
As to the "abusive replies", well I guess that depends on where
you draw the line on "non-abusive", and where you would place
"critical commentary". Much misunderstanding arises when a
poster that is not a native speaker of English, posts things that
come out of his translator with a meaning he may not have
intended. But not always the case.
You are welcome here, obviously. The childish personality that
is currently flooding us "tires" after a few days. But this is a
pretty quiet place for science. You might find sci.astro more
interesting... day-to-day.
