This group and a couple others are regular targets of a group of spammers.
I'm not sure why they pick on these groups, but they will occasionally flood
them with up to a few messages per minute.

Basically, this looks like the work of a few script kiddies. They have a
program that generates random sentences, which are meaninless to us, but
follow English language structure. The programs were probably developed to
study natural language processing, and were just adapted for this purpose.
There are a few available.

Usually, the group is quite civil and informative.
