Sure we have. I have proposed colonizing space (to give the masses
something to do besides fight over dwindling resources), exploiting
extraterrestrial resources, educating our children in sex and science
(in order to reduce the birthrate), and reducing atmospheric carbon
dioxide levels to around 300 ppm (to fend off any future ice ages).

That pretty well covers everything except the conservation of energy.
