4. El Chino's Evaluation:
From the pictures of the corpses reprieved from the mass graves, El
Counted a few hundreds, not a few thousands. After being buried for
months in a tropical climate, it is very doubtful that any corpse
could be identified accurately as VZKH's or VC's. So the Funeral
Ceremonies organized by the Puppets after Hue were done to un-
identified bodies which might be as likely Vietkong as Vietzan.
The absence of forensic medicine and of dental records made
identification of rotten bodies hazardous
One question remained unanswered. Why the VZKH administration and the
ARVN could not come up of a list of all of the people who were missing
during Mauthan. This was in spite of the fact that They regained the
control of Hue for at least 7 more years. Hue has a fairly
sophisticated ID and Residence control system established by O^ng
Kovan, they should be able to come up with a list of all of the
missing people to match the 6,000 or 7,000 they claimed to be
holocausted by the Vietkong just like the US was able to identify all
of the victims of 9-11 or the Vietkong was able to do with the victims
of the collapse of the bridge in Can Tho



continue the offensive till the end of 1968, i.e., for 10 more
months. In 1971 the Lam Son Operation in Laos they destroyed the
most battle tested ARVN units, the Paratroopers and the ARVN Marines.
In 1972, the communists started a Spring offensive which would have
annihilate the ARVN if it were not for the intervention of the US air
forces with its panoply of carpet bombing, clusters bombs, CB bombs
and napalm. It should be pointed out that the 1971 and in 1972, most
of the Communist Fighters were regular soldiers of the PLA but the
Vietkong is far from being dead.
