Subject: Check if a cars insured

Came across the following website in a trade journal

http://www.askmid.com/

Type in a car registration and it tells you if it's insured or not,
supposed to only use it for the following purposes

I confirm that the vehicle detailed above is registered, owned or
insured by either my employer or myself and is regularly driven by me.
I understand it is an offence to wrongfully obtain information of this
nature without reasonable cause

When you insure a car your insurers have to place the details on the
Motor Insurance Database, this the database the police use, also the
post office when you don't have to produce an insurance certificate to
tax your car

I'm sure you will only use it for the above purposes
