Subject: BCS #2 - KU or Big 12 Loser?

Or Neither. I HIGHLY doubt neither.

First a quick look at the rankings:

BCS AP Coaches
Mizzou 1 1 2
KU 5 7 5
OUsucks 9 9 8

Now let's say Mizzou wins (IMHO, the more likely scenario right now):
Mizzou is clearly Title game bound
The real question is does OU hang on to their top 14 spot in the BCS,
if not then KU is for sure BCS bound, and even if they do KU might be
a more attractive pick.

Now going the other way, OUsucks beat Mizzou:
OUsucks would be Fiesta Bound
But who is the #2 BCS team, KU or MU? At this point I would say KU,
because the BCS honks seem to like non-participants more.*

It is still very much in the air, because there are a lot of things to
be figured out as far as At Large bids. For example, if Georgia and
Hawai'i don't move in the BCS standings (or move UP), they are
currently guaranteed spots in the BCS. That would leave on 2 more At
Large bids, and then things become very dicey. Let's say Mizzou
loses, tOSU is in the title game, and should Illinois move up into the
top 14 they are eligible, and you KNOW the Rose Bowl would take a #14
ranked Big 10 team over more deserving teams in the top 5, leaving ONE
real at large bid.
Man, this system stinks.

* That last reason is why the A&M loss for Texas was so bad, they blew
a BCS bid! I know KU would still be ahead of KU in the polls, but I
still think the name and draw of Texas would have been a bigger boon
to the BCS than KU.
